Training Program focused on enhancing leadership and business skills
Bahrain – 25 senior managers from the Arab Insurance Group, one of the largest providers of professional reinsurance in the Middle East and North Africa, completed an executive training program to enhance their managerial capabilities and business management skills. The five-day intensive training program, organized by Arig’s Human Resources department, is part of the company’s on-going investment into its human resources to ensure that skills are continuously upgraded in keeping with the demands of the insurance industry.
“Arig believes strongly in investing in its people and this program is testimony to our commitment in the long term success of our staff. Continuously improving the skills and capabilities of our managers will not only enhance their individual performance, it will also allow us to stay at the top of our game in the reinsurance industry.” said Mr. Nagarajan Kannan, Arig’s Deputy General Manager – Finance & Administration.
The training course entitled “Excelling in Your Leadership and Business Skills” is a development program designed to provide participants with a comprehensive update on the key skills and knowledge they enquire to perform effectively as senior managers in the competitive environment of reinsurance. The course covered several current topics central to today’s managers, including leading high performance teams, guiding growth through effective business strategies, the fundamentals of finance and budgeting and change management amongst others. The in-house course was delivered by Marcus Evans Professional Training, a leading international provider of executive training programs.
Arig has also extended the course to its clients, many of whom responded by sending their senior managers as participants in the five-day program held at Arig’s offices. “This is a learning opportunity that we are extending to our clients as part of the professional services we offer. We believe that our clients share the same commitment to skills improvement and development of their staff. As such, we are very pleased to have the participation of our clients in this training program.” Commented Mr. Kannan.
